It has been our pleasure to produce Get Outdoors Nevada Day each year for the communities around Nevada!
Get Outdoors Nevada (formerly The Outside Las Vegas Foundation) is dedicated to connecting people of all backgrounds and ages to Nevada’s diverse outdoor places through education, volunteerism, outreach and collaboration. We strive to foster and support a community that discovers, experiences and connects to our state’s many natural environments, from wild landscapes and recreational areas to urban trails. Because our outdoor areas strengthen our economy and increase the local quality of life, Get Outdoors Nevada works to create a community that shares a respectful and protective relationship to our treasured outdoor spaces, both for today's residents and visitors, amd for future generations alike.
We work across neighborhoods and jurisdictions to accomplish our mission by:

History of GON Day
Get Outdoors Nevada (formerly The Outside Las Vegas Foundation) was offered the helm to Get Outdoors Nevada and Get Outdoors Nevada Day back in 2014. In partnering with all of the jurisdictions around the Southern Nevada region, the idea was born to highlight, introduce and bring the community to a great outdoor place in a different city each year.
This much anticipated community event is a chance for people of all ages to get outside and celebrate all that we love about Nevada’s diverse outdoor places. From park and picnic fun with activities like rock climbing and fishing, to meeting outfitters and organizations featuring the latest in recreation opportunities. The event is a free and fun day out for the entire family.
In 2014, the event was held in North Las Vegas’ Craig Ranch Regional Park, then in 2015 it was held in Clark County’s Sunset Park, in 2016 it was held in the City of Las Vegas’ Lorenzi Park and for 2017 we look to the lovely City of Henderson at Cornerstone Park. In 2020, we revisit North Las Vegas' beautiful Craig Ranch Regional Park. The next park location will be announced at Get Outdoors Nevada Day March 28th, 2020.
